Institute Graduation 2019

4, May 2019

On Saturday, 4 May 2019, the EPG Institute was delighted to hold its first annual graduation and awards ceremony for teaching staff. In our continuing effort to be the best we can be, EPG strives to train its teachers to the highest standards, and the EPG Institute, founded in 2018, brings together EPG’s many efforts at continuing education and professional development to achieve this goal. With nearly 150 graduates and honorees, the inaugural ceremony showcased the hard work, dedication and talents of our teachers in the EPG family. With speeches by Dr. David Speicher, Ms. Florence Schempers, Ms. Ghufran Zyada and Ms. Nicola Lynn, the ceremony was attended and celebrated by EPG Executives, Principals, Vice-Principals, staff and teachers alike. NVQ - EPG’s prestigious and internationally accredited training program - graduated its first classes with Level 2 Certificates in Children and Young People’s Workforce, and the extremely demanding Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education. EPG is proud to be the only accredited training centre in the MENA region to offer these international qualifications, and we are extremely proud of our hard-working graduates. The Institute also gave awards for the most outstanding students in each NVQ course and honored the efforts and successes of our EPG assessors, who earned their qualifications as professional mentors for our training programs through the Great Achievers program. We further celebrated the success of over 50 support teachers who completed a year-long TES training program under the careful guidance of Ms. Brenda Duddy. Lastly we were pleased to recognize the industrious teachers who gave professional pedagogy presentations at this past year’s EPG Conference on Pedagogy and Learning. Please join us in congratulating our teaching staff and trainers, who sacrificed their their nights and weekends to push themselves and the boundaries of education in our family of schools!
